Devon Live today launched the Devon Business Awards with an event comprising a live panel Q&A, which was held at Sandy Park, Exeter, attended by an enthusiastic and prestigious business audience, and broadcast live via the Devon Live Facebook page.
We were delighted to attend in support of Malcolm Dudley-Williams, principal promoter of Eden Westwood, a major tourism and leisure-led scheme proposed for Junction 27 of the M5. He livened up the debate with some sharp but insightful remarks about the planning process, Plymouth airport, the poor social standing of UK farmers compared with those in the Netherlands, and the potential Devon has to lead the globe in finding solutions to the looming challenges of food security and supply.
